Additional notesTrekking shoes and sports clothing are required. It is advisable to bring at least one litre of water per person, rain jacket, some snacks and a packed lunch

Itinerary

Departure time and place: Saturday 17 February at 9 am - Santa Margherita Ligure railway station, (in front of the station entrance).

What to bring with you? Trekking shoes or boots with good grip in the wet; water (at least 1L per person); Packed lunch; rain jacket, snacks.

What is included in the excursion? The excursion includes guided accompaniment for the entire duration of the tour. Transport or anything not expressly indicated is not included.

What time does the excursion start? Saturday morning at 9.00 am.

Your Guide

Alberto Romano is a hiking guide regularly registered with the association of the Italian Association of Environmental Hiking Guides (AIGAE - Card No. LI235). He was born in Santa Margherita Ligure in 1993. At the age of 20 he began to fall in love with the natural landscapes and excursions between the hills and the sea of the magical Gulf of Tigullio and Golfo Paradiso. He walked the Camino de Santiago and some stages of the Via Francigena as well as the hills and islands of the Hong Kong archipelago. He is passionate about history and an avid seeker of "at least one walk" to do on any trip outside his homeland.

Hiking


- The excursion is open to adults and teenagers aged 15 and above. Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

- Pets are not allowed on the excursion: in the presence of pets, the guide reserves the right to limit eligibility for participation.
- Any specific needs, allergies, health conditions, etc., must be communicated to the guide.

- In case of justified exclusion, there will be no refunds for travel or any other type, except for the possible participation fee already paid, including advances.

- Please notify as soon as possible in case of withdrawal from the excursion.

- Participants are required to follow the instructions of the guides and are not allowed to leave the group and the trail without authorisation.

- The itinerary may vary depending on weather and environmental conditions, as well as for any reason related to the safety of the participants.

Participants' obbligations

Participants are required to:

- Respect the departure time and the established program, adapting to any changes made by the guide.

- Present themselves in a psychophysical condition, with appropriate clothing and equipment for the excursion. In case of doubts, consult with the guide before the excursion day.

- Maintain disciplined behaviour during the initiative, respecting individuals and private properties, and adhering to the instructions given by the guide.

- Follow the established route without deviating or leaving the group, and without overtaking the guide.

- Collaborate with the guide for the successful completion of the initiative, being supportive of their decisions, especially in case of difficulties (environmental conditions and/or participant conditions). Inform the guide of any issues that may arise during the planned activities, particularly regarding personal psychophysical conditions and equipment.

- Refrain from picking flowers, plants, or protected herbs, and in general, adhere to the instructions given by the guide.

- Dispose of their waste in the designated bins.

Each participant is personally responsible for any risky behaviour for themselves and others, especially if they take personal initiatives despite the guide's advice to the contrary.
